Purpose
The purpose of this lab was for us to see and understand how evolution has occurred in different species and what these changes allowed them to do. In order to successfully do this we did a few things. We created a chart comparing multiple aspects of their phylum, we dissected an animal in that phylum, and finally we wrote a paragraph or two about the ecology of the phylum or the different species in that phylum. Now if you want to see the chart, photos of the dissection, or the paragraphs about the ecology then just click on one of the helpful buttons to the left and to give credit where it is due my group consisted of Me, Sebastian, Camille, and Donnie. Along with this project we read a book about evolution and wrote a review about it. We also created a video of a transitional species we've "discovered"

Conclusion
After we've learned about evolution I've learn that evolution doesn't follow a line and acts more like a spiral. That changes occur only when a force is pushing it to do so. We've seen how commonly as a species evolves its body gets more complex with by developing things like multiple germ layers, both lungs and gills, or vertebrae. But all these changes don't happen over night and it takes a long long time of natural selection and different gene types. I liked how we were able to dissect the different species and how we cover wide variety of phylum. Something I improved on is being able to help my local environment after the field trip to Bahia. That's what we've learned in this chapter.
