The nervous system
Project update
After working on the project for a few weeks we have a product. There is still a lot to work on for our project but we have solved many problems to get where we are now. So far we have finished the pressure sensor coding (the one with the red light on) but that was the simple one. It only had a few lines of coding and didn't have any specific commands to fill out besides the pressure sensor. The other one (the one with a hand and engines) is still a work in progress. We've had many issues with coding going to the arduino and the engines spinning at the right speed and amount of degrees. We plan on fixing the coding for the machine to efficiently pull the finger up and down successfully and efficiently.
Function:
This part of the project will have the motors pulling a two strings that are attached to a finger and it will move the finger up and down. One motor will be pulling the finger up, and one will be pulling the finger back down and repeat.
Final model

Function:
This part will have a light which will change color depending on where you put pressure on the sensor.

Project reflection
In this project we've learned a few valuable lessons. two things we did good was that we divided the work well and we didn't take the easy way to finish the project. Who ever thought they could do a certain aspect of the project well to lead our group. Also we chose to not take the simple way to present the nervous system but to do a more complex and intriguing project. Two things we did bad was we made similar mistakes twice and that we didn't spend enough time practicing the presentation. We kept on making the mistake of setting up the circuit with the wrong type of resistor. We also where so focused on finishing the project and making it work and look the best it can we didn't have that much time to practice presenting.
