Presentation night
On the day of the presentation night I was excited and scared. I was excited to show people what I've been spending the past couple weeks on. But I was scared cause we have only got the machine to work completely once. When I got to the stem class I was the first in my group so I just started slowly setting up by myself. When the rest of my group showed up we tweaked it a little hoping it would help. Then we saw people walk in to watch our presentation. We stayed calm and went through the power point presentation smoothly and when we pulled the string everything worked!
Reflection
With the 11 days, we spent 25 hours together working on our machine. Those 25 hours were packed filled with success and failure. We made mistakes through out the whole time working on the project. Even though we may have looked focused and relaxed during presentation, inside we where all stressed out if everything was going to work. But even with all the bad stuff that happened we had a couple peaks that where amazing.
The Peaks
The Peaks
- The first peak my team had was on the first day. We all decided on what to do on the project and we even got the first piece of wood in. The main reason this was a peak for us was this was way more then we expected to do and this was the first time we worked together and we where able to do with no fighting or disagreement.
- The second peak was with both levers. I don't know if it was a coincidence or if we had a knack with making levers but both our levers worked the first time we built them. They needed absolutely no tweaking.
The pits:
- Our group did not work very well together at times when I was working on something it took them about 30 min to get a nail into the wood
- we also had a lot of disputes on what was going to work and what we needed to do.
